Well the boys and girls have been back one week already, and what a busy week it was. We had our first skating afternoon and it was enjoyed by all. Please remember to check the schedule to see when to come prepared to go skating. Remember, the weather will also determine whether or not we go, so be prepared.
The boys and girls "rang" in the new year by creating a fun bulletin board (pictures to follow) that illustrated some of their goals for the new year.
We began our next unit in Social Studies: Ancient Civilization. The girls and boys are very excited about learning about this time period in history. We will focus on Ancient Greece and all the contributions that we still benefit from today. Check out some of the links on the blog that will take you to some fun and interesting sites to learn more.
We will be finishing our unit on Properties of Matter and Change in Science by the end the month. We still have a couple of experiments to investigate.
In Math we have started a new unit on Measurement, determining the proper unit of measurement as well as converting units of measurement. We will continue the unit looking at perimeter and area.
Please remember to come to school dressed for the outdoor weather, snow pants, boots etc...
As well you need a pair of indoor shoes. We have gym on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, you need indoor shoes for those days too.
